Walking for Wellbeing!

The Transformative Power of Walking for Wellbeing

Finally putting a date together to bring these walks to life. This was arranged for April, however due to unforeseen circumstances was postponed.

NEW DATE REVEALLED.

TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE - SUNDAY 1ST OF JUNE 2025

T-shirts created for the event in to raise money are now on sale. 25% of profits will be donated to Headway Herts Brain Injury Charity.

We have one special guest attending the walk with her husband. Amy Staden. I recently met Amy for coffee to ask a little bit more about how life has been for her since her brain bleed back in 2020. Here is a little bit more about her journey.

Amy was an integral part of an interior design company. A job that fulfilled her expertise and passion. On marrying her husband Joe, they set off on an adventurous honeymoon to Japan. On returning home it was there Amy began to feel unwell.

With what Amy described as really bad case of a "head cold", she assumed she had picked up a virus whilst on their travels. In fact it turned out to be a Cavernoma Bleed which led to seizures. On investigation it was apparent the bleed needed to be operated on and unfortunately due to Covid, Amy had to face the surgery on her own, due to restrictions on visitors.

The long lasting effects this brain bleed had on Amy's life, means she is no longer to able to work in any role due to her lack of energy and debilitating migraines. Although Amy's situation is not from injury, it was important for me to share her story whilst working with a charity to how life goes on after such huge life changing illnesses or injury.

At headway Herts they specialise in helping and supporting families where life does not go back to normal. Where people are left with life changing adaptions.

It has been a pleasure to be raising money for such a wonderful charity and to have people join the community walk in Derby to help raise funds.

We have also received some wonderful donations from large and small businesses in a goody bag for all those participating on the walk. Here are a few of the contributors:

Grass & Co

Sandys Candles

London Nootropics

Headway Herts

Purition

Corinne taylor Aromatherapy

Kalm Wellbeing Scents

Wild & Wood

I am excited to be meeting new people and build on The Epiphany Closet community.

You may remember on my Instagram stories and the recent email you received, I asked  your opinion about walking. What it does for you and how your day/week is impacted if you don't get your fresh air fix.

In our fast-paced, technology-driven world, it's easy to feel disconnected from ourselves, our surroundings, and even our own wellbeing. Yet, one of the simplest and most profound ways to restore balance, clarity, and inner peace lies right outside our door: walking in nature. The new bench mark step count is now set at 4000 steps a day. Anything more is a bonus, however doing the 4000 steps a day, can be proven to reduce risk of cardiovascular health, stroke and type 2 diabetes.

As I embark on the journey of launching Wellbeing Epiphany Robes and our Wellbeing Walks, I am reminded of the deep connection between movement, mindfulness, and nature. Walking—especially in natural surroundings—has long been celebrated for its remarkable benefits on physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Whether it's a stroll through a forest, leisurely walk with your dog, or you are an enthusiast in hiking, the benefits are outstanding.

Walking as a Form of Moving Meditation

Incorporating walking into your daily routine isn’t just about exercise—it’s a moving meditation. With every step, you engage your senses: the sound of birdsong, the scent of fresh earth, the feeling of a cool breeze on your skin. These mindful moments allow us to break free from overthinking, reducing mental clutter and creating space for clarity and creativity to flow.

Embrace the Power of Walking

Nature has an undeniable power to heal and restore. When combined with the simple yet profound act of walking, it becomes a gateway to better health, greater clarity, and an overall sense of peace. I hope you liked the recent posts and stories over on my social media. It is all beginning to ramp up now in time to introduce the wellbeing walks in Spring. So, lace up your walking shoes, wrap yourself in comfort, and step outside. Your path to wellbeing awaits.

Community and Walking

The sole purpose of creating the Walks for Wellbeing, was to create a community for my customers and followers on Social Media. With nearly 3000 authentic people across my platforms, I felt it was time to share the love. More information on dates will be released in March. If you want to become a part of a walking community across the country, stay tuned.

TO START YOU OFF, WHY NOT TREAT YOURSELF TO ONE OF THE EPIPHANY ROBES. LAUNCHING ON SUNDAY THE 23RD OF FEBRUARY@ 9AM.
